This seminar will compare the use of two premium crash reconstruction software packages: the force-based HVE and the momentum-based Virtual CRASH 5. The features and limitations of each application will be described via simulation of the same real-world crashes using each program. The review will include evaluating their accuracy as well as ease-of-use when attempting to match evidence such as EDR data, crush damage, and roadway evidence.
